Maximising Maths Part 2 is coming in January 2023 with four more webinars!

Maximising Maths Part 2 is coming in January 2023 with four more webinars!

#MaximisingMaths Part 2 is here with four more maths webinars coming in January 2023!

In September, we held our first ever bumper series of Maths webinars, exploring how key skills such as problem-solving, connecting, reasoning and communicating can not only help pupils learn Maths, but love it. Now, we bring you the second installation in this series: Maximising Maths Part 2.

We’ll be taking a deeper dive into the development of core mathematical skills, with a focus on four key areas of mathematics: counting, calculation, algebra, and geometry and measurement. Maths experts Dr Tony Cotton and Andrew Jeffrey will be showing you how you can help pupils develop skills in these areas and establish themselves as curious and confident mathematicians.

Join us for four more days of maths-filled webinars, running from Monday 16th to Thursday 19th January!

Don't miss out - sign up now!

Session 1 - Counting: Place value, fractions, decimals and percentages
Monday 16th January, 2pm GMT

This webinar aims to develop teachers’ personal mathematical subject knowledge drawing on examples that teachers can use in the classroom.

  • Key principles which underpin counting
  • Common misconceptions in the area of counting and place value and how to overcome these
  • Concrete materials and representations of the numbers system which can be used to teach place value, fractions, decimals and percentages
